THE 4TH ANNUAL BRAZILIAN CARNAVAL SANTA BARBARA
BRINGS MUSIC, DANCE, ART EXHIBITION AND BRAZILIAN FOOD EXPERIENCE IN 2007
Dedicating the Carnaval to Peace in the World! Paz no Mundo!
The Forth Santa Barbara Brazilian Carnaval 2007 brings 3 days of dynamic rhythms, dance, art, film, gastronomy and history of Brazil to the American Riviera. The events will be held Sat, Feb. 17, Sunday, Feb. 18, and Mon. Feb 19 in 3 different club locations in downtown Santa Barbara . The concept is to promote more than music and dance, or in other word, to bring and better exposure the Brazilian music, dance, film, art and gastronomy for the Santa Barbara community. The Santa Barbara Brazilian Carnaval production team have been trying since the year 2004, bring to the city of Santa Barbara a better and extended information about the biggest county South of the Border.
Among the headliners we will have over 30 performers during the 3 days that include 1 guest DJ directly from Brazil, Red Hot Samba Dancers Group, 1 soccer player, Capoeira Sul da Bahia, SambaJah band from Orange County and PraKantar band from Santa Barbara . Afro-Brazilian Music or "Axé" music and the sounds of Bahia; the best of Samba or Rio de Janeiro 's beats; and Marchinhas, Frevos and Maracatus from the state of Pernambuco will be mandatory and will keep the people moving. And, younger beautiful hostess and the dancer personality Vanessa Isaac was invited for make the party more attractive! For last, an art and photo exhibition will be held on Sat.at Couchez, a Brazilian BBQ afternoon experience will be possible on Sunday at Tonic, and Free Brazilian Prizes (soccer ball, cachaça-Brazilian rum, dance & music DVD, and t-shirt) will be raffle on Monday at Sharkeez.
